The displayed works are various from Hina dolls of the Edo period to hanging
ornaments made of fine crape of old clothes, which are created by a famous
artist.
They all are related to clothes.
The name "Hina" comes from Japanese old words which meant "cute."
Since we think that the sound of "Hina dolls" has an image of
"cute and kind" regardless of age or gender,we named this museum
"The Merchant House of Hina".
The building was constucted by imaitating the ones of Kyoto.
Seeing many exhibits,I cannot help feeling the mysterious beauty related
to ancient days.
This building and all the exhibits are owned by Yushingen Ink,and the works
were collected by Endo Hideo.
I hope that you will get just moved even for a short time.
And feel the heart of ancient Japan.
